Companies that use industrial kitchen ,commercial  kitchen  , kitchen quipment , catering equipment and restaurant equipment must show  great importance  of storing them  healthy and hygiene norms.

 

 

FOOD STORAGE

 

Storing up food in appropriate condition  is also very  important   as much as to purchase them.

Rice , wheat , beans ,chickpea  should be cleaned from stone and other foreign materials  .

 

Oils should be kept  in a cool and dark place .

 

Fresh vegetables are weak foods . Spinach, vegetables such as lettuce , roots muds should be cleaned  and then keep them in fridge 3-5 days.Storing them in plastic bags with holes  will  extend their freshness

 

Potatoes  should be kept mild moisty , dark, air flowing place.Onion  should be kept in a cool, dry place .

 

Meat should be bought as Daily need ,If the purchased amount big they  should be kept in deep freeze  or cold rooms .  

Eggs can be stored  in the fridge for two weeks ( without losing its freshness ) . Pay attention not to wash and clean thenm before storing.Cleaning should be done just before use them.

 

Keep it all kinds of milk in the fridge .

 

Pasteurized milk should be consumed in one day in summer ,2 days in winter .

 

 Long –lasting milks  should be consumed in three  days  .

 

Take it daily bread . Bread  get mold in a plastic bag if it is  held  long time .

 

Always read the labels of purchase frozen foods .

 

Frozen foods should not be defrosted at room temperature , and defrosted foods  never be frozen again .

 

Fruits

1 Orange, lemon , apple, pear 1-2 weeks

2 Grapes, peaches, apricots 4-5 days

3 Cherry 1-2 days

 

Vegetables

1 Spinach, lettuce, tomato 2-3 days

2 Cabbage , carrots, celery 6-7 days

3 Fresh beans, broad beans and peas for 3-4 days

 

Meats

1 Ground beef and a small piece of meat one day (if the meat is fresh )

2 Large pieces of meat , salami,  2-4 days ( if the meat is fresh )

3 Daily meat should not kept more than a day

 

Milk and milk products :

1 Milk, fresh curd  1-2 days

2 Cheese, yogurt , cream in 5-7 Days

 

Others:

 

Eggs 1-2 weeks

Cooked meat dishes 1 day

Cream cakes 1 day

Olive oil cooked cold meals 2-3 days

 

Butter and margarine  have moisture content and easily lost thir freshness , in this respect must be stored refrigerated .
